It’s the perfect option if you want a shorter Advent Calendar, or if you’d like to give someone a week of surprises rather than a full 24-day calendar.

We source books from suppliers, charity shops and members of the public, giving them another opportunity to be discovered and enjoyed.
We believe good books deserve another reader — and another chapter.
By choosing pre-loved books, you’re helping keep perfectly readable books in circulation and giving them another chance to be loved. ♻️❤️
Their story doesn’t have to end with their first reader.
✨ WHAT CONDITION ARE THE BOOKS IN?
All books are pre-loved and have previously been read.
We carefully select books that are generally in good to very good condition.
As with any second-hand book, there may be minor signs of previous use.
We select every book with care and aim to create a calendar that we’d be delighted to receive ourselves.
📚 COULD I RECEIVE A BOOK I’VE ALREADY READ?
If you have a Goodreads or StoryGraph account, you can provide your profile link when ordering.
We’ll use this to help us avoid books you’ve already read wherever possible.
We can’t guarantee that every title will be new to you, but we’ll certainly do our best!
📚 COULD A BOOK BE PART OF A SERIES?
Yes.
You may occasionally receive a book that is part of a wider series.
Where this happens, we make sure the book can be enjoyed as a standalone read, so you won’t need to have read the previous books to enjoy it.
🎁 BUYING IT AS A GIFT?
Absolutely!
If you’re sending the Advent Calendar directly to someone, simply add their first name only in the notes at checkout.
We’ll use their name to personalise the calendar.

🔄 RETURNS & REFUNDS
Because the books are intentionally selected as a mystery, we cannot offer refunds simply because you have already read a book or don’t like the book selected.
If you need to return an order for another reason, please contact us at blinddate [!at] lostandbound.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.
Buyers are responsible for return postage.
Please ensure that all items included with the Advent Calendar are returned. If items are missing from a returned order, we may only be able to issue a partial refund.
